Oh man! I am dying from HS301. The readings are so difficult! I don't understand them at all. Why do these theorists have to come up with such abstract theories?? Haiz...the quiz is coming...2 days later and yet I am so clueless about the theories. Luckily CS100 was not so bad. Otherwise I can really die.
Talking about CS100, I was so blur that day. I remembered that we only have to do 2 short answer questions out of 3 and instructions on the front page reminded us too. However, after doing all the MCQs and finally reaching the short answer section, I cleanly forgotten about it and I went to do all 3 questions. I was doing the third question halfway and trying to figure out the answer when it suddenly struck me that I do not have to do it at all. Phew!
By the way, I was clearing my email that day when I saw an email from one of my profs regarding a protest at the speakers' corner by our students. Recently, an infamous opposition politician came to our campus to spread his ideas and some campus reporters did a coverage for it. They were about to print the article in our campus newspaper when the president of our campus stopped the print. It angered some students and alumni who think that there should be media and intellectual freedom. Hence, they planned to hold a protest on Sunday (I am not sure if it did carried out as planned) and my prof sent us an email informing us about it.
I was quite amazed about it but on the other hand, I think that it is quite redundant too. I applaud their courage for speaking up on what they think is right and yes, I agree that there should be intellectual freedom to promote critical thinking. However, will the protest really helps? I passed by the speaker's corner on early Sunday afternoon, before the protest was scheduled to start and the place was very quiet. I wonder how much attention will be given to the protest.
