I got into Overseas Volunteer Expedition!!!!! Haha I went for a short interview today with Priscilla and both of us got in! Yeah!! Now my worry is the summer studies. Hope that these 2 won't clash if not, I really don't know how.

Haha today I kept bumping into friends in school, some are those that are long-lost friends. First, I saw a friend from first 3 months at SAJC. The most coincidental thing is...she's Pei Kiat's friend! Haha and today is her birthday. I was quite surprised that she remembers my name because we were not really close, just remember that she was from RVHS.

Then, on the bus going out of NTU, I saw my PRIMARY SCHOOL friend. Oh my goodness...it has been ages since I last saw her. I lost contact with alot of my primary school friends lah. The best thing is...she is in the same course as 2 of my other pri sch friends and she was in the same JC as my pri sch best friend. Haha this means that all of us can meet up! I was really surprised to hear from her that my pri sch best friend is a national karate player now lah!!

Besides that, I also bumped into a few of my cca mates and also another SAJC first 3 months friend. But this one, I did not say hi to her though. Haha today is really a lucky day.

Yesterday during lecture, we were doing statistics and I was reminded again of how mch I miss Maths and Science. I really miss them alot!!!!!! I miss pressing the buttons of my calculator. I miss figuring out how to do the Maths sums. I miss differentiation. I miss doing lab work in Chem. I miss the reactions equations and the colours that we will see. I miss Kong Yi Ji. I miss the Chinese poems and stories. Haiz...now all I am dealing with are words, words and more words.

On Friday morning, I went to Bintan with my family. Hm...the trip was quite good. It was very relaxing, especially after such a blur and choatic week. I love the villa alot! It's so cosy and my family can't stop commenting how nice it would be if it was our house haha.

Nice view right? I took it at around 7.30am Singapore time. Singapore is 1 hour ahead of Bintan.

Can spot the writing? Haha I wrote it with my finger.

Me, half-awake, with the nice scenery at the back.

After coming back yesterday afternoon, I slept a while at home and did the birthday message for Andy. In the evening, met up with the rest and we went to Andy's house for his 21st birthday celebrations! Haha we had a fun time there, especially while playing the silent heart attack and the 21 surprises for Andy.

After dinner, me, Agnes, Seet Ee, Denise and EK played silent heart attack. It was super funny. We could not stop laughing and we laughed very loudly. Our tummys were painful from all the laughter and I even teared haha. After that, we went to the void deck to record a happy birthday "song" for Andy. We shouted so loudly that Andy said that he could hear us from the 3rd floor.

After cutting the cake, the most exciting moment came. Presents time! We prepared 21 surprises for him, including a recorder with our birthday "song", a cake, a super huge birthday card, milk bottle and most importantly....the Crumpler bag! It's super expensive!! Andy better use it!! Haha we had a great time seeing Andy opening the presents and going through the 21 surprises. Hope it will be a memorable birthday for him. Haha then at least our efforts are not wasted, especially Agnes who went to buy the bag alone and did alot of organising work.

Alright...here are some of the pics taken yesterday with my handphone. The quality may not be very good. For the whole list of photos, please go to this link...http://community.webshots.com/album/562196701IodAMK

All of Andy's friends who came for the party.

Andy drinking vitasoy from a milk bottle. Haha he took a super long time to drink and still could not finish because the hole was super small.

Disgusting? There were chilli sauce, tomato sauce, sweet and

sour sauce, eggs, flour, water and watermelon!

Haha Andy had to mix everything in the tray with his bare hands! It was super gross lah. But we could not stop laughing.

After mixing it, Andy had to find a nail clipper from the mixture using his toes.

Okie...he found the nail clipper nad have to use it to open his present. No hands allowed.

After unwrapping layers and layers of newspapers, ta-dah...Crumpler bag!!

Haha kid's cash register for Andy by EK. I think it looks cute.

Lastly, our hand-made birthday card!

Okie...C'est tout! (That means that's all in French haha)

Andy!! Happy birthday in advance!!!

I was super blur the whole week. There are simply too many things running through my mind. I had to worry about which notes that I need to print, which textbooks to buy, which textbooks to photocopy, what are my lecture and tutorial timeslots, whether to go for summer studies, my tuition timings for my students and some other things.

All these made me so blur and I lost track of time several times. On Wednesday, I even made a blunder. I thought my tutorial was on 3.30pm but actually, it's at 2.30. In the end, I gave it a miss. Haiz...hope next week I can be better organised.

French classes so far have been quite fun. We learnt some basic introductions. The best part that I like about learning new languages is trying to pronounce the words. It can be so funny. It will sound weird and yet sounds complex haha. It was the same case when I took up Malay. During tutorial, the whole class will be filled with alot of funny noises as students try to make up the correct pronounciations. When you got it right, there will be a sense of satisfaction adn you will keep trying to say the word. Haha that was the case for me lah. Oh ya, my tutor looks like Mr Bean to me. Haha especially when he tries to correct our pronounciation. His expressions just reminds me of Mr Bean haha.

Okie...that's all for now. I am going Bintan tomorrow....but not very excited though haha....think I am too tired and preoccupied with other stuffs.

So fast one week of school had passed just like that. Hm...the past week had been very relaxing. I was still in a holiday mood. That's because my tutorials had not started and I had many days off. I went shopping with Priscilla and bought ALOT of clothes, went out with my parents, spent time with my Grandma, watched a movie called the Pianist (It's a very good movie), nursing my stomachache at home and watched alot of tv.

Oh ya! I got French for my elective! Haha I was super happy when I got it. I was trying my luck about 2 days ago, sitting in front of the comp and kept refreshing the timetable planner page. I was about to go off when I saw...ta-dah...1vacancy! I was super excited and quickly clicked, hoping that no one beat me to it. And the outcome...I had the fastest finger!

Just nice, Seet's sis got that French class a few days ago and I was hoping that I can get into that class too. Luckily sia. Haha when I told Seet ytd that I got it, her first comment was I must teach her all the French vulgarities haha. No need lah, she already know the most commonly used one haha. But having taken this French, my timetable becomes 4 day week instead of 3. Haha but still more lucky than Agnes.

Haiz...one of my students giving me probs again...sian.

First day of school yesterday was...unsatisfactory. I ALMOST dozed off several times for my morning lecture which started at 9.30am. I'm not sure is it because its too early (I normally wake up ard 11am the past one month) or is it because of the content of the lecture or is it jut plain Monday blues? Haha luckily the afternoon lecture I sat at the first row, right in front of the prof and hence, I managed to pay more attention. I must pay full attention in all my lectures!!

Just the first day of school and homework cum readings started pouring in. Hm...this week I am quite free though. I only have school on Monday and Thursday. Not so sure about next week. I am still not satisfied with my timetable. I want to take some electives that are beneficial to me or at least beneficial to my GPA. And, I hope it's of my interest as well. Hopefully, I can get good electives.

Oh ya, yesterday I overheard something that really surprised me. During our morning lecture, as I was half awake, I overheard some of my coursemates sitting behind me discussing about their AUs left to clear. AUs are the credits we need to graduate from university, same as MC in NUS case. Guess what? That coursemate was left with 6oAUs to clear! Compare that to mine of 75! Oh my goodness, that's like 4-5 more modules and its like I need to take one more sem than that person! Haha I immediately turned to Wei Ching and asked her how many she has to clear. I was really surprised. I thought my speed was on par with many people. Please tell me that coursemate's GPA is not really good if not I can bang wall le...took lesser modules than others and yet did worser than others.

Haiz...I am so vexed by the electives to take. I did not get any of the 3 electives that I had put on waitlist. Very disappointing lor. I always managed to get at least one elective and this time round, its so disappointing. Haiz...now I have to fret about what other electives I can take during the add-drop period starting tmr. Just now, I went online to check the modules and many of them do not have any vacancies left. Some of those that have vacancies ended up clashing with my timetable. Irritating. Now, finally I have decided on French and human lang. Hope I can get them.

Yesterday, I went for BBQ with my cca at Pasir Ris Park. Hm...when we reached, it was raining. Fortunately, the rain stopped shortly after. Haha this time round, we were not so lucky to see a double rainbow. We saw it last year at the same place haha. Yesterday, about half of the perfect 10 turned up only. Only one of the seniors who graduated turned up. There were quite a number of juniors. I must say that the juniors are quite fun to mix around with. Haha it's my first time really interacting with the juniors. We hardly have any time to interact with them and I don't even know their names at first lah. It was quite fun yesterday. We ate quite alot and played some games too, including Mahjong! Haha it's in the form of cards though. Not so fun. I din managed to take alot of pics too.

Looking forward to our next overseas trip in May.

Haiz...I didn't managed to get the electives that I want. Hope during the add drop period I will be able to get them or at least some other interesting electives.

I just came back from lunch with Agnes at J8. She had Tori Q while I had my Taco Pachi. Haha we have been craving for these food. I had satisfied my craving for tori-Q yesterday haha.

Hm...the first few days of new year had been spent on my favourite pastimes haha. Shopping, movies, eating and dramas.

On Wednesday, I went shopping with Priscilla at Marina Square and Suntec City. We went there having the aim of buying clothes for cinese new year since it is approaching. In the end, we bought a couple of causal tops haha. We had a great time talking and shopping at the same time. We were talking non-stop lor. It's a pity that Pei Kiat could not make it. She was supposed to meet us but in the end she coul not rush over. Never mind. We have set our next shopping date le haha.

Yesterday, I met up eith Agnes, Seet, Denise Loh, Ben and EK for Alvin adn Chipmunks. They are so cute!!!! Haha I love Theodore best. He's just so adorable lah. I enjoyed the movie and the songs especially. Hm...should I buy the soundtrack?

Alright...going off for tuition.

Happy New Year!!
Haha this year I am not going to make any new year resolutions. Every year I can't achieve all my resolutions. So this year I am not going to write any. Maybe I will achieve more in this way. Hm...2008. Don't know why but not really excited about it. Hope the year will pass smoothly.
This morning I just came back from Seet's place. Last night, our clique plus Seet's sis and bro, Denise's sis, Gerard and 2 of our former YJC mates, Amrit and Kevin met up for countdown. Haha our clique was fully present...yeah!
We had dinner at Xin Wang cafe in Marina Square before making our way to the field for fireworks. It was the first time that we were at that field admiring the fireworks. Our usual fireworks hangout place is the Sheares' bridge. Hm...this year's fireworks display is abit disappointing though. It was not as exciting as the previous years. Maybe because we are further away from the fireworks this year? But still, it's nice and attractive.
After the fireworks display, we bade goodbye to some while the rest headed to Seet's place...our refuge camp. I played Mahjong with Ben, Andy and EK. Aiyo I did not win a single round lor super sway. Halfway through, I passed the baton to Seet's sis to cut my losses haha. I went to sleep on the sofa. Haha Leo, Seet's dog, kept squeezing onto the sofa that me and Seet were sharing haha. He wanted to have a good spot to sleep too haha.
Here are some pics taken ytd.

Okie...going sleep again.
