I have survived through 2 days of training for my job and still have one more day of training to go before I can start work. Once I start work, think I will be very busy. Hope I can pull through the whole assignment.

Yesterday, I went to World Book Fair with Priscilla and my niece. It was very quiet and a lot of the booths were eager to hand us their flyers. We didn’t buy much because most of the books are from China and Taiwan. They don’t really appeal to us lah. I just bought 3 assessment books for my niece and also a computer game called lemonade tycoon. Oh ya, I saw Wei Ching there as well. She’s working there for a magazine booth.

Today I came across an article in the papers about a retiree complaining that his daughter does not have a place in the 3 universities. Her daughter scored A B E as well. She applied for FASS, HSS and don’t know what in SMU. All rejected her. He was complaining that the universities should open up more places for the Dragon babies. The 3 universities replied that they did increase the number of places. But they said that the quality of students has been increasing.

I really think that I am super lucky to get in with my grades. Imagine if I was born just 4 months later? I wouldn’t even be able to smell the universities, not to say enter it. Perhaps my prayers have been answered. I remembered that time was really nerve-wrecking. My dad even went to a temple to pray before I went for my interview. Really thank all the super-natural. Sometimes everything is just luck.

Sometimes maybe being a single is a good thing afterall.

Alright...some quick updates. First of all, I got a job! On Tuesday, I went to MOM for an interview and…I got it! Thanks Priscilla for recommending. It sounds quite a good catch. The best thing is its somehow related to soci. Its about a survey on employment and unemployment.

Fter that, I went to a library as well. It has been such a long time since I last set afoot in library outside school. I managed to borrow some books as well. I need to catch up on my readings, as well as catch up on my diet-and-exercise regime. Haha.

I also finished watching “fu(4) yu(2) fan(1) yun(3)”. It’s a hong kong drama showing on chnl 55 now. I watched it on crunchyrolls and its really nice, I like the ending. People do have conscious afterall.

Yesterday, I went to Sg museum with Seet, Aggy, Nise and Illya. It was our first visit after the renovations. I really applaud the project managers. They came up with a very good concept of using a card to get into each gallery and the technology that was being used was really advanced. It shows that Sg can have a top-notch museum. I really enjoyed the trip and learnt a lot there. I thought I knew a lot about Sg, after spending 19 years here. But I was wrong. I knew so little about Sg. For the photos that we took, they are all in Seet’s blog, so I didn’t bother to copy them here.

Just now, I went to AMK hub with Aggy. We were free and since we had concession, might as well make good use of it. I’m waiting for the Cathay cinema there to open. Haha after that, can watch a movie near my house already. We went to J8 too. Although I live near to J8, I don’t know much about the place. Didn’t know they have pepper lunch there and didn’t know the basement have so many new stalls. We bought a couple of tops too. It’s the start of GSS, of course we must support. Haha.

The past weekend was quite relaxing. I went for tuition, cca, Seet's house and also went out with my family. Haiz...I really wonder whether am I suitable to be a tutor. My students (the twins) did not do well. Their scores were around 50 to 60 only. Previously, they failed their Eng but now they passed. But their maths deteriorated. And their mum does not seem to be happy with all their results. I really hate it when the students don't get good results. I don't know where's the problem. Haiz...hope the pri 5 girl does well, but I doubt so.

Okie...here are the pics from my Kukup trip. Ya...it's 2weeks overdue...paiseh. But its because my senior too busy pa-tou-ing to upload the pictures haha.

This is our group photo. It was taken just before we head back to Sg.

The guys were doing forfeit. Haha...luckily we girls won if not I wonder what forfeit will the guys think of.

Girls power! Haha it's true! We had eaten 6 plates of stingrays while the guys had less than that. The dinner was just too sumptious and it's buffet!

Nice scenery. I like the scenery there. Although the waters are not clear, the sky is not very blue but I like the simplicity and tranquility of the place.

Biggest mangrove swamp! Can't remember biggest in the world or in Asia. But we didn't went there for a walk. Actually one of the highlights of Kukup is this.

Saw the background? It's a dilapidated house that the locals live in. Their toilets are really direct to the sea! Haha...that time when we first visited the toilets, we were quite amazed by it. Haha we even went telling others to go and see. Haha...our waste ends up in our body again...what a cycle.

the group of us trying to do funny faces. But guess the picture is too dark to see clearly.

Me and Pei Kiat's back view. Haha we were trying to show how much we wish to embrace the sky.

Haha...look at Pei Kiat! Haha she's trying to act cute...and she succeeded. The forever funny and cute Pei Kiat.

This is part of the kelong. We saw many kinds of marine animals there, haha basically fishes lah.

My friend just recommended me for a job in MOM. We going down tmr for interview. Hope we get it. Hey Seet, Agnes and Ching, if there are still vacancies I will let u all know.

Oh ya...thanks Qb and Andy for the gifts. I will remember to bring mine for the rest of you all soon.

My job stint as an exhibition asst at Sg expo is over. It was just 2 days lah. It’s a super slack job – just distribute newspaper and man the booth. So qiao, the other temp staff there is also from NTU, but different course. It was so boring that we crapped throughout the whole 2 days. Ha...we concluded that if there’s a war, Sg will have hope in winning coz our navy ppl look so much smarter and fitter than most of the ppl from other navy. Haha ya...we just talked crap all the time there.

This morning, went to Toa Payoh for an interview with Aggy and while waiting to meet Seet, we walked around and I bought a couple of tees from song & song. After meeting Seet, both of us went to Aljunied for another interview while Aggy went off for her cca. Then, Seet, Seet’s sis and I went to douby gaut and we had pepper lunch! I finally get to try after that drooling session at Suntec haha. It’s quite nice, I like the beef. Then, we walked around and went to Spotlight. Haha...I took some pics of them there.

Opps! U saw seet's sis body! Stop looking! Can't u see she's shy, trying to use the yellow furry thing to hide her body haha.

Ya...she wants to take part in Sg manhunt 2007. Her flying pose not bad right can see her muscles.

Alright...she's trying to flaunt her triceps. Must vote for her hor.

Seet's trying to be a blonde-turned-punk girl. She's not to be mess around with de.

After having enough fun, off we went for our movie, 28 weeks later. It’s quite gross and scary. The 3 of us were watching parts of the movie through the gaps of our fingers haha. Denise! Go watch it...ha...its ur type of movie haha. But overall still okie oni lah, maybe 3 stars ba.

This afternoon I was halfway through blogging when suddenly my comp hanged...and it hanged several times so I gave up. Hope it won't get hanged now.

Last night I went to Changi airport to pick my Dad. I saw several guys after work there, waiting for either girlfriends or wives. I think its very sweet. Hm...next time must make my boyfriend or husband wait for me at the airport haha.

Okie...here are some photos my dad took in Hong Kong.

Doesn't this looks like some castle in European countries? It's part of Disneyland.

Jack Sparrow!! I thout it was a fake figurine but my Dad said it was an imposter. I think it looks like the real Johnny Depp leh. Haha...his clone.

Wow this reminds me of Stairway to heaven. Ya that show super long ago already but got Quan Xiang Yu haha. Looks like in a fairytale right.

Wow...our LKY is famous not only in Singapore, JB, Batam and also Hong Kong lah.

Quick! Guess who is this! Wah when I first saw this photo, I thought it was Zai Zai from F4 lor. But guess wad? It's Jay Chou! I think don't look like him lah.

Wow! Dimsum! Oh man...I lovvveeeee Dimsum.

Okie that's all from my selection.

Haiz...tomorrow starting work. It's only 3 days at Sg Expo lah. Helping out at an exhibition. The thing I worry about is make-up! Haiz...hope tmr my experiment succeeds. Oh ya...thanks priscilla!...Thanks so much for lending me formal attire.

First of all, those who are reading my blog now, remember to wish ur mother "Happy Mothers' Day". They really took great pains to raise us. Can't imagine how it will be like without these amazing mothers.

Okie...enough of this.

Hm...these few days have been busy looking for jobs, hanging out with friends and also tuition. On Friday, I met up with Agnes, Seet and En Lin for some shopping. I bought a diamond pendant for my mum. It costs $200 plus. Ya its was quite heartaching to spend so much. But this is the first time I bought my mum a diamond pendant so I think its worth it lah, especially after seeing her so happy just now. Haha...although its only 0.5 carat, its already $200, and its after discount! Normal price $400 plus! Think those wedding rings may cost a few thousand dollars. Pity the guys haha.

Yesterday, Seet, Agnes, Denise, Qb and I went for K-boxing. Yes, its also been ages since I last went. Haiz...can see that exams really changed my lifestyle.

After that, I went back home for my family's Mothers' Day celebration. We ordered buffet and the food is so-so only, but I would say the service is good. The deliveryman had spilled food on the way and they offered to send us replacements for the food and we had extra fried rice as well. Haha. Yesterday only one baby came. Haiz...miss the cute little boy.

During the gathering, many people asked about my father (because he went to Hong Kong for a 4 days trip). And I sort of throw his face. Haha die...if he knows he will surely throw my face in return - an eye for an eye...Haha. I told everybody who asked about my Dad that he was super excited about taking business class, so excited that he practically called early in the morning and exclaimed through the phone that he is taking business class and that it was his first time. Haiz...like a miracle has happened. After that, he called again when he was in Disneyland and again was super excited. "Girl! I took alot photos leh...how? battery dying already...hey...i see a bear leh...duno call what winnie one...winnie pooh is it...I took pictures with Cinderella leh" Haiz...I was already super envious that he could go HongKong and yet he still sprinkled salt on my wounds. Haha...my cousin commented that maybe its snow white and not cinderella, coz he dun even know what winnie the pooh is lah. hm...tomorrow he is coming back...I shall check his photos see whether he got name the characters correctly anot.

yesterday was quite a hectic day for me. At noon, I met up with Agnes to head for PS where she changed her sim card and I went to buy tickets for the movie Spiderman. This movie had its premiere about one week ago and yet its till sold out at quite a number of cinemas. The producers must be so happy that they can't sleep. Anyway, after buying the tickets, I suddenly had a craving for sushi and we went to Iciban! A really wonderful lunch haha. After our stomachs were satisfied, we went to J8 and had a look at some necklances for my mum. We saw many nice but expensive necklances. haiz...think I should up my budget or change my gift idea. Hm...maybe a massenger...maybe a bag...haiz...still undecided.

I went off for my tuition and after that, met Esther, Wei Ching, Denise and Seng Keat for movie. Spiderman is really nice! It's exciting, judging from the sounds we make throughout the show, and yet touching at the end. Wei Ching even teared haha (wah din know Da Chu got such a soft side haha)...I was also on the verge of tears, especially the part where the father said his story ( he really looks like the stone man from fantastic 4). Anyway, ya its a nice movie...no wonder there's so much hype about it.

After the movie, we wanted to take pics but dear Esther, who suggested it at first, forgot to charge her batteries. Aiyo what a letdown...but nvm...still got plenty of chances.

Yesterday morning, Agnes, Seet, Jing Yi and Enlin (both from NUS), Wei Ching, her friend and I went for a job interview at an agency. Hope we can get a job soon.

After that, Seet, Seet's sis, Jing Yi and I proceeded to Raffles City for some donuts. Its was highly recommended by Seet and her sis. We thought the shop would only open at 12.30, so we happily went there at 12. But guess what, we were already in the third segment of the queue. Apparently, the queue was so long that it had to be broken into 3 segments for passer-bys to walk. While queueing, we talked with 2 aunties in front of us. And there was a group of brats who cut queue.

Haha. And the drama unfolds. Brave Seet's sis went to confront them. That was the highlight of the day. Haha. I applaud her.

After queuing fo 2.5 hours (ya...you din see wrongly, its really that long), we finally bought our donuts. Haha. As I did not want to waste my 2.5 hours queueing for nothing, I bought a dozen of donuts. There was a wide variety I must say. they have 15 varieties of donuts! And some are really exclusive. Don't think can find them other places.

Looks yummy right. These are the donuts I bought. Got double choc, wasabi with cheese, tartar cheese, strawberry with choc, hazelnut, apple cinnamon, lotus mocha, bluberry, orange white chocolate.

I have eaten the wasabi cheese, double choc, hazelnut, strawberry, apple cinnamon and tartar cheese. My fave is apple cinnamon and wasabi cheese. I think recently I am starting to accept wasabi. The apple cinnamon had crunchy apple dices on top!

After trying the donuts, my mum said that its not bad but not very nice. She even say downstairs' donuts nicer. I almost fainted.Haiz...that's what she can say for my 2.5 hours of queuing lor. Haiz...no nicer words. Haha. But frankly speaking, I think when I eat those donuts, my mind was partially on the hours spent queuing, so maybe I got abit biased. Have to say its nice mah, if not my efforts in queuing wasted leh. Haha.

Yeah...I am buying 2 bags through internet. It's cheap! My heartfelt gratitude to dearest Da Chu...haha. Hope no glitches.
