These 2 days I have watched 2 movies and they are very very different from each other. Yesterday, I watched Horton with Seet, Agnes, Denise Loh, Andy and EK. Today, I watched Das Experiments with Denise, Ching and SK in school as part of the weekly movie screening by one of our tutors.

First, I shall talk about Horton. It's a veryyyyyyyyy funny movie! Haha 85% of the time we were laughing real hard. It's about this elephant called Horton who went about to save a world that had existed on a speck of dust. Of course, nobody believed him. But! He proved that there is something that exist even though it can't be seen, heard or touch. Haha actually it has alot of messages that are hidden. I didn't realise about those messages until the rest talked about it after the movie haha. But still, I had a great laugh. It's worth the money.

Now, the second movie, Das Experiments. It's a German film about an experiment that went horribly wrong. It's a direct contrast from the above movie lah. While watching the movie halfway through, I felt so disgusted and hopeless that I harboured the thought of not watching it anymore.

It's really horrible. I must say that the actors' acting are real good because it seems so real and and affect us emotionally. Itsabout a group of participants in an experiment about behaviour kind of thing. The participants were divided into 2 groups, the guards and prisoners. Those who acted as the guards are not real guards. They are just normal men who took part in this experiment for various reasons. However, just one day into being a guard, their attitude and behavious changed. They humiliated the prisoners to gain control over them and did very horrible things to the prisoners. At the fifth day of the experiment, the whole thing went out of control and the guards were like crazy. Fortunately, the prisoners except one managed to escape on the fifth day.

Just 5 days and something can go horribly wrong. A person's attitudes and behaviours can lose control within 5 days. This experiment also shows how unethical researchers can be. Even though they saw signs of things going wrong, they persisted on with the experiment. Having different identities can also lead to different behaviours and attitudes. I felt quite down after the movie lah haha. Wonder what's next week's movie.
