Happy belated birthday Benjamin!
Haha late by about an hour...anyway...we celebrated his birthday on Friday at Sembawang park. We had a BBQ there. Here are some photos taken that day. There are still many more photos but they are with Seet Ee and Denise. So...look out for those too.
The birthday boy! Haha we spent alot effort in preparing his presents lor. Got bag, shoes, testimonial book and bra!
Me and Agnes.

Me and Clare.
We had a fun time that evening. The best part was the presents time and also the games time. Thanks Ben for buying that delicious chocolate cake.
The day before, on thursday, I went to WSC dinner. It was a dinner to thank all of us for volunteering. We received a certificate too. It was quite funny during the games segment. 4 couples were chosen to act out music videos. I like the Indian music video best, with the couple dancing around the tree haha.
This is the group photo taken of our RSP Elders. We had the smallest number of people lah. We took up 1 and a half tables that's all. Hearing Impaired took up 3 or 4 tables lor.
Alright...finally I'm here to blog more about my birthday celebration which was approximately 2 weeks ago. All because of Loh Seet Ee! Took so long to upload the photos lah. Haha but still, must thank Seet Ee and Denise for helping us take photos that day.
This is the Waraku restaurant that we went to at Marina Square. We waited super long to enter the restaurant and so, we had plenty of time to take photos haha.
Our Clique! Formal and informal shots. Seet Ee looks very delighted in the second pic haha.
Me and beloved Seet Ee with 1/3 of Qunbao's face haha.
Me and darling Agnes.
Me and dearest Denise.
Haha we saw this poster and don't know who gave the idea that we 4 imitate the girls in the poster haha. Guess which is me.
Alright...presents time. Haha exciting time. These are the presents given by Agnes and Seet Ee.
I can't find the photo that was taken of the bigger present. But anyway...its a super meaningful black book with messages written by them. Seet Ee wrapped the bigger present with tonnes of newspapers, wrapping ppers and even toilet papers!
Okie...I was super excited when opening this present. The following are what was inside this box.
Designed by Agnes.
Designed by Seet Ee.
Haha they FORCED me to take this picture lor haha.
This is the present given by Denise, Qunbao, Andy and Benjamin. Nicely wrapped by Denise as well.
Ta-dah! Perfume by Lanvin.
Me and my birthday cake. Sobs...20 already.
On our way home.
Okie that's all. Bye.
Happy Mid-Autumn Festival!
Tonight is the time when gardens and parks will be beautifully lighted with candles, fireworks and lanterns. And also not to forget the mooncakes. Do you know there are teochew mooncakes and hainan mooncakes? Haha, I only knew it recently. Yeah...tonight going down to my park to join in the fun haha.
My handphone is dead! Argh...it died suddenly yesterday afternoon. Time unconfirmed. Cause of death : Old age. As a sign of struggle, it blinked continuously without any other responds. Why does it have to die now!? I still have 4 months to go for my contract! Sad. Furthermore, some of my contacts were saved in the phone and not sim card! I don't know how am I going to get those contacts back!
Haha....yesterday had a good laugh. It was super hilarious.
Anyway, on Sunday WSC went for garang guni session. We went all the way to the flats around Boon Lay MRT to do the canvassing. It was quite tiring but fun and meaningful too. Fun as in...how many times do we get to experience this.
I teamed up with a junior from China and we went door to door ringing their doorbells and collecting their old newspaper and clothings. I must say that there are a few households who are really generous. They gave us a few big bags. One even gave us a carton of new A4 size envelopes. She told us we can use it or can sell it if we want.
There was one house that was super scary. It was near the lift landing. Once the door opened, I was really taken aback by the sight. The door was splashed by red paint. Erm...maybe I shouldn't say splash, because it looks like drops of blood that kind of thing. There was even a trail of red paint( almost said blood haha) on the floor. It was super scary. I wanted to stay away from it, but there are a few households next to it so we had to walk passed it. My junior he even went close to look at the police report. Apparently, the police report did not deter the loansharks at all. The paint was on the police report somemore!
Lastly, I want to thank some people here as well.
Thank you Pei Kiat, Priscilla, Yee Loong, Bryan, Jiun Bin, Ai Ling, Jia Xin, Janice and Geraldine for the birthday presents.
Haha pancake, I know you and Pris are the ones who shopped for it (from ur wrong sms haha). Thanks alot! I like the jigsaw puzzles alot. Haha but I haven't piece them up yet. Thanks!
Alright...my tests and assignments are over. Hope I did not do badly for them. Actually I think the Forensic quiz was quite fun haha. Can be a CID police sort of thing whereby you guess who is the murderer based on the crime scene evidence and DNA.
After the quiz on wednesday, Denise and I went to Orchard for dinner and some shopping. We bought a pair of shoes each and Denise bought a bottle of perfume. We had dinner at the hong kong cafe again haha.
Here's what I had that day. Drooling? Haha.
On thursday, we went to Orchard again. But this time round, with the addition of Min Jie! So long never see her already. Haha she always remind us to miss her...even in the sms to wish me happy bday lor haha.
Here are some pictures taken that day.
Okie...now I have a couple of thank yous to say.
Thank you Esther, Ching Ching and Seng Keat for the bag. Haha although it was not a surprise, but I still like it haha. Esther, you are super blur lah, call me and ask me what colour I like for bags etc haha. Thank You all 3 of you!
Wake up call!!
Today I shall...no its MUST...wake up from my slacking.
Today i just had a mid-term quiz. Oh my goodness, I think I am going to do super badly for that. I left one question BLANK...out of 3 questions. I can't believe it! During the quiz, I told myself to WAKE UP! Stop escaping from the readings!
Luckily, this quiz is 10% if not it will be a much uglier death.
I have 2 more assignments to hand in tomorrow and also another quiz on wednesday. This week is really heavy.
I MUST CHIONG!!!!!
Alright...I am 20 years old already. No longer in teens. Hm...a big change? Perhaps. I guess with a new chapter now, I have to be more sensible, responsible and also more fun-loving (haha, of course). Hm...looking back at my past 19years, I have been quite lucky in many ways. Hope the luck persists haha.I am really grateful for many things in my life. First, my wonderful family. They are always caring and showering me with love. Second, my group of friends. They always light up my day with jokes and laughter. Third, being healthy. I am grateful for being spared the pain and torture that many people had.Fourth, my academic route. What else can I ask for, except better GPA. Fifth, my experiences. No matter good or bad, they have helped to mould me for who I am now.I feel blessed!I guess birthday is a time whereby you are reminded of all the things that you have and also all the people who cared. It was heart-warming when I received smses from friends and relatives wishing me happy birthday. Anyway, on my birthday, I celebrated with my family. It was a sweet and nice dinner.Yesterday, I celebrated with my clique. We went to Waraku for dinner and I bought a cake called chocolate royal from sweet secrets as well. I love the cake! It was recommended by my cousin, who bought it for my mum's birthday. I enjoyed yesterday's celebration alot! Especially the presents haha. Thank You...Agnes and Seet Ee for the surprises. I was really surprised when I saw the first present, haha, and it was exciting yet scary when I was digging for the next 3 presents. But I like the thrill haha. And thanks Seet for wrapping the other present with loads of "wrapping papers". Haha. I am so touched by the messages. Love ya girls!Denise, Qunbao, Andy and Benjamin for the expensive gift. Haha I know it costs a bomb. Thanks a million!! Thanks Denise for helping me choose the fragrance. Haha you are an expert in this, who else could I ask. Love ya all!Alrigh...that's all. Thanks to everyone who sent me an sms as well. I will post the photos about yesterday's celebration soon. So watch out for it haha.
Argh!!! Why are my hands so itchy? Aiyo...I cant believe what I just did lah. My itchy hands went to explore friendster as I super long never use. Then! Trouble started! I clicked too fast and in the end I sent friendster invites to all my hotmail contacts! All! Oh my goodness...even those tuition agencies and vpost recd it lah. Die man. Vpost even replied me a computer-generated email saying they will process my enquiries asap. What is happening!!!!!
Aiyo...I don't know what's happening to me. Out of 6 lectures, I have missed 3 of them. I'm talking about my monday's morning lecture. Yesterday, I missed it again. Why is it always monday that I will oversleep? Even though friday I have lecture at the same time, I have no problem making it to lecture. Content wise, monday's lecture is still more interesting than friday's! I must stop this!
Hm...for the past few days, I thought quite alot...at least more than what I normally do. Hm...for me now, i am trying to put what had happened over the couple of weeks behind me. But of course, I will need time to do so. I can't wake up the next morning pretending that everything is back to normal. I need time to forget things and also time to recover.
For me, there's always this question of chances. How many chances does a person deserve? Is it unlimited or no chance at all? What are the criterias for giving a person chances? I don't know. To me, a person definitely deserves a second chance, because he/she may have hurt someone without the intention to do so or maybe he/she did it just in a moment of folly. But after that chance is given and that person hurts the same person again in the same spot, does he/she deserves another chance? He/She would have already known that this action is hurtful and yet did it again. Is it on purpose? Or is it just another unintentional act? Well, its up to one to determine the nature of the act. But I guess, we should try to forgive people as many times as we can - forgive and be freed.
Okie...I admit that I am getting lazier. Getting lazier to blog, to study, to do the presents (hey girls, I will try to give it to u all asap....don't give me mine next year can?)
Anyway...here's how I spent my last week.
Mon and tues, I went for intensive tuition with my student bcoz it was her exam period.
Wed, me and Denise met up with Seet and Ben after sch in Orchard. We had our dinner in a Hong Kong style cafe in Cineleisure. Seet bought a sporty Nike jacket as well. She managed to haggle the price with the boss. Pro right? After dinner, we watched Dead Silence, which made m and Seet hide our faces behind our jacket. Actually, its not that scary lah.
Thurs, I rotted at home and had tuition as well.
Fri, me and Denise went down to Orchard again for some shopping. We went to our fave hangout, Iciban for dinner. Oh ya, we saw Desmond Koh in our campus as well. The only impression that I had was he spoke quite loudly.
Me at Wisma Iciban. Compare this with...
THIS...haha think this was taken last year? Its taken at the same place. Seet Ee and Agnes...don't say I put on weight hor. Haha.
Sat, I went for cca. It was the first visit to the ome by all the newcomers. I didn't manage to interact with them bcos I was busy in the kitchen doing tuna sandwiches.
Evidence! Haha...Ailing, Jia Xin and I hard at work.
After cca, me and Denise headed down to City Hall and met up with Qb and Ben. We had our dinner at the same Hong Kong Cafe but different branch. After dinner, we went to the Comex fair in Suntec and I looked around for camera deals. The camera model that I have my eyes on is $50 cheaper than last IT fair. But I still need to think haha. After that, we went to Andersen's Ice Cream for ice cream fondue. Then, we me and Ben met up with Agnes to go home tog while Denise and Qb went for their pubbing.
Sun, I attended a mass service with Agnes at Toa Payoh. It was an eye-opener. After that, we went to Iciban for lunch. Ya...Iciban again. Haha its our fave hangout mah.
In a week, I had Hong Kong cafe food twice and also Iciban twice. Haha of course I put on weight lah...haha excuses. More good food coming up next few days haha.
