Yesterday was my last day of work at RP. We ended early again, this time we ended at around 1pm. We had finished all the 200 surveys real fast, all thanks to the allure of $10 borders voucher. After having our lunch at RP, we chatted for about an hour before we went off. The guys went back home while Priscilla and I proceeded to Marina Square for some shopping. Haha it was a last minute attempt to grab bargains before the GSS is over. Hey everyone, reminder : last day of GSS is this Sunday!
After shopping, we met up with Pei Kiat, Janice and Jia Xin for dinner and also a concert by Singapore Symphony Orchestra at Esplanade. We were given 5 tickets by the elders home. It was a charity concert for SMRT Silve Tribute Fund.
The concert was really good. We were so captivated by by their first piece that our jaws were practically dropping. Haha during the second piece, something embarrassing happened.
There was this soprano who came onstage to sing some italian songs. Haha the moment she opened her mouth, I started giggling. Of course I tried to hide my laughter, especially when we were seated in the 2nd row. I was reminded of those variety shows whereby they will ask ppl to sing soprano to make ppl laugh. Haha it sounded like them I thought. Haha especially the part where she hit the notes whereby the glass may shatter anytime.
Haha jia xin was sitting beside me and she was also trying hard to control her laughter. Haha it was really hard to contrl, especially when your friends sitting beside are also giggling. Laughter is contagious! We quickly look at the booklet given to us to cool down.
The funniest thing is, even one of the violin player onstage was giggling as well lah. After we managed to cool down, I concentrated on listening to her singing. It was really good. She did not have any mic on! Her voice was really powerful and expressive. We could see her diaphramn beating lah!
The conductor was also another great figure. He is from New York and is conducting the SSO for this occasion. He was always moving to the music and at some points of time, it was like he was going to collaspe anytime.
Alright...here are some photos taken yesterday. This is really an eye-opener for me. At least i won't giggle the next time.

Me and Priscilla at Marina Square.

Look at the colourful lights behind me. Nice right?

We saw this painter painting on the spot at Marina Square. I like the colours he uses. Very lively colours.
