All because of the Taiwan earthquake, my Internet is so wols now. For the past few days, I could barely made it into any foreign websites. Its quite frustrating. Especially whenyou have to wait for about an hour to enter one website. But I know the engineers are already working super hard to restore the connection. Jiayou.

Guess what? My Birkenstock is FINALLY here. It was delayed by a few days. Everyday I'm at home waiting for the doorbell to ring. Haha yesterday we were still talking about it not here and thought whether we were cheated. I plan to email them if its still not here today. But phew, it arrived.

This past weeek passed very quickly. Think its because of Xmas and New Year. It seems like we had just finished Xmas celebrations and now we are already gearing up for New Year's eve countdown. Oh ya talking about Xmas, this year we spent our Xmas at Seet's place again but this time round, we played mahjong. Haha its the first time I'm playing mahjong with my friends. Still quite blur but not bad leh, I got a few times whereby I had quite big tais, just that I did not manage to win on those big tais. Haha don't know when we will play mahjong again.

This week our results were released too. Its really scary and nerve-wrecking. For NTU, we don't know when is the actual release day so we have to check everyday. That morning, when I received sms from my friend that the results are out, I was awake immediately. I quickly switched on the comp while praying hard that everything is alright. Haha. Luckily its not that bad as I thought but not that good either.

Wow a long post. Haha after waiting such a long time for the page to load, of course I must make full use of it right. Haha.

Merry Christmas to all!!

While typing now, I can hear my neighbours laughing and celebrating X'mas. They are really loud but I not sure where is the sound coming from. Haha just now they even did the countdown twice.

Yesterday went to the home and we gave the elders chicken essence as Xmas presents. My group leader manged to get sponsorship for it. There was a group of chuchgoers who catered food for the elders too. Actually I think that the uncles aunties are quite fortunate to be there. On many weekends that we were there, I see alot of volunteers from other groups bringing food or gifts for them. They also have numerous outings, especially during festive seasons. Yesterday, a group of C...bank volunteers also brought ard 20 elders out. Compared to other elders who may be living on their own or in hospice, this lot is alot more happier.

While giving out the chicken essence, there were some uncles aunties who were quite naughty. Haha some want to take more than 1, some refuse to take for their roommates coz they say their roommates are bad, some too paiseh to take also. Haha.

Happy Dong Zhi day to everyone!
Haha...actually I was not aware that today is Dong Zhi until I received several smses. I heard my mother mentioning about the dumpling balls that she bought but she haven't cook so I was not aware that its today.

Anyway, this past week has been a fun and rainy week. On monday and tues, I finished watching my Korean drama, My Girl. Its a nice drama. I was hooked after watching the first 2 episodes on tv last saturday. Its quite funny but the ending part was quite draggy. I think the male character looks like Hyun Bin.

Oh ya, I watched the Curse of the golden flower. Its a nice movie. With such super cast and colourful settings, its really hard to be distracted. Haha but I think Jay acting is not there yet, as compared to Gong Li and Chow Yun Fatt. But for a newcomer, I think his good. Yesterday, we went to watch Charlotte's Web. Its quite touching and Wilbur is so cute. Quite nice also.

This week I finally step into Vivocity and have a good look at it. Its really big. I think I like the top storey most. It has a wading pool for kids and the view there is really panoramic. I can imagine the fireworks lighting up there. It will be so breath-taking. And I finally bought the bag that I saw last time at Bugis. Seet managed to bargained for me till $35. Haha thx Seet.

Today was supposed to go out with Ting Ting, my sec sch fren but she told me ytd that she was inviting her church frenz along too as one of them is having birthday. I woke up feeling tired today and I think it will be awkward so I didn't go. The last time we met was one year ago. Hope that we can meet up soon.

Haiz...today sent my handphone for repair. It auto switch-off on its own and recently its really frequent. Its especially frustrating when you have diligently typed up a long sms and when you are about to send, it shuts down. I would have forgotten what I had typed earlier. And guess how long I had to wait before i was served...1.5 hours! In the end, I was late in meeting Agnes and Illya. I almost had to give the delicious Komala's cuisine a miss, luckily they waited for me.

Today's spree at Bugis was not really a spree. Did not buy much, just a top and some hp accessories. Haiz...still pondering whether I should buy a bag that I saw at Bugis Street today. Today we had a walkathon. Haha i guess we did more walking than shopping today. We walked from Little India to Bugis to Icon to Arab Street. The ambience at Arab Street was great. It feels serene and and the shops have an artistic touch. it feels like you are walking in a Malaysia kind of street in Europe. Haha weird description.

Oh ya..I have finally bought Birkenstock sandals. Ordered it online on Sat...guess it will reach me around X'mas time. Guess what colour I have ordered? Haha should be an easy guess.

Another person had committed suicide on MRT tracks, this time it was at Yishun. It's really crazy that so many such incidents are happening now. Within 2 months there are 4 such incidents! Is that the latest trend? Maybe these people think that its more cool to commit suicide by jumping onto the MRT tracks, rather than the conventional way of jumping off blocks. Maybe its really wiser to jump onto tracks than jumping off blocks because at least you gain sympathy from the public and get some cash. But suicide itself is a foolish act. How wise can it be? Why these people just don't value their lives? So many people are fighting to survive and they are doing all these foolish acts. Even if they have problems, dying does not solve them, it just pass on the problems to their families. Why don't they think about their family? Although they may get some cash, the hurt and stigma that the family members have to bear will make it not worth it.
Haiz...if only Durkeim could provide some answers.

Just came back from orchard with Denise and Agnes. Wow...it has been a long time since we last step into orchard. Many things seem different, as if we had stepped into a different world. After spending such a long time mugging, we felt like we were detached from the world, had no clue about the latest fashion.

We tried Turkish delight for dinner as well. I had something which was a full plate of beef slices in tomato sauce and yogurt. It was really a big plate and tastes weird.

Argh...we went to HMV and I could not find Keita's new album. Disappointing. It was released a few days ago. Guess it is still stuck in some ship in the ocean.
