Woohoo!!!My exams are finally over. Today had my last paper. Not well done lah but I still feel very happy because...it's over! Had mugged like shit for the past one month. Finally can enjoy le.

Haha...after our exams, Esther, Wei Ching, Denise, SK and I went to Ching's hall first. It's beyond my expectations lor. It's quite big and nice. I thought it is those small and stuffy kind of rooms, but I was so wrong. They even had toilets in their rooms, so don't have to go to those shared toilets. I always fantasies that those shared toilets at the end of the corridor will have some "unclean stuff" hiding in one of the cubicles, waiting to sing to scare people or will hear thoe sound of running water. Haha I was quite tempted to stay in hall lah after this visit. But Ching was saying that it's quite expensive. Every month have to pay $150 for rental, somemore 3 meals a day very taxing lah.

After that, we typically rushed down to Orchard. Haha ya, we were super desperate...and hungry. We ate at Far East Plaza and walked around. Me and Ching bought eye creams each. Hope it's effective. Ching bought a notebook as well. It's so cool! It had the words "Once upon a time" on the front cover written in those cursive fonts and there's a nice ribbon tied to the front cover also. It's quite expensive lah, but really super duper nice lor. Esther had to leave early for tuition so she missed that. We saw plenty of those very cool necklances as well. It's really exotic, with the pendant as a bicycle and so on. But its super expensive lor. Costs about 30 plus leh, it's only one necklance lor. Siao.

Just now I went to have a look at those photos taken in the aftermath of the Virgina Uni massacre at http://www.time.com/time/photoessays/2007/vt_portfolios/. The students were mourning and many were seeking comfort in each other. It's really a shock that such thing can happen.
What if we were there? I think I will surely freak out and may not even react. It's really a blessing that Singapore does not allow the possesion of guns. I can't imgaine such things happening in our own campus.
So many lives were claimed and so many hearts were broken. It seems like another terrorist attack had happened. Many people are in state of shock. I think the scariest thing is that it all happened out of the blue and they could not escape. One student was saying that after every shot, he was thinking "ok, the next is me". The terror is unimaginable. It's really sad that there are so people living in a small and angry world of their own.
If only he had continued with his counseling sessions and if only he had received more love from the people around him. Maybe there are some incidents that had left a deep scar on him. But if his family and friends had showed more love and care for him, maybe this tragedy can be averted.
Now, they are worrying that copycats may follow his actions.
Hope not.

I didn't blog for around a week because recently has been busy with my exam prep. Everyday is study, study, study. Haiz...so many things to study. As each day passes, I am getting more stressed up. Can't wait for the exams to be over. I really need a break badly.

Haiz...why did it turn out this way. Thot everything was on track. Why do people have to give false hopes? Don't they care about others? Do they think that it's a funny joke? Super pissed off. Hope everything will be back to normal soon.

I was reading an article about female migration. Many females have to migrate because of poverty and to help their families. They migrate to work as maids, nannies and even sex workers. The absurd thing is that their governments strongly encouraged them to work overseas as domestic workers. All they can care about is the money that these female workers send back home. It’s very dangerous for these females to work overseas as domestic workers. They are hidden in homes, any abuse can go unnoticed. A lot of these workers have husbands and children. After working so hard and sending so much money home, they do not get to enjoy it. They return home to find that their money had been squandered by their husbands! Their husbands spend the money on alcohol, entertainment etc. So irresponsible and heartless.

I think it was last week that the newspaper did a special report on maids as well. There was a maid who went to work in a country as maid. After returning home for a few months only, she had to come to Singapore to work because the money earned had almost finished. When she is at home, her husband treats her well but once she is away, her husband goes out frequently and never take care of their daughter.

It’s really an irony that maids have to take care of other people's children and their own children left unattended. Their mums have become other children's “mum”.

Today did something for the first time. Haha…it was really an experience. Me and a friend approached a guy for his number! We did it for another fren (erm…shall omit the fren’s name) and it was really scary. My hands were shaking terribly. I agree with what my fren says “It’s worse than presentation”. Haha…luckily our efforts didn’t go down the drain. Quite happy for her. Hopes the 八 字 will be completed haha.

Warning: please do not leave ur handphones on the desk, even when u are sitting at the desk. My friend had her handphone robbed while she was at Admiralty MacDonalds on Sun.

Phew...finally completed a 2000 words essay last night. I rushed like mad last night lor...facing the computer screen for abt 6 hours doing that stupid essay. It was very frustrating because the organization of ideas dun seem right and it is difficult to think how to link the ideas to the question. Wah at one point of time, really do until want to cry. Finally its done. Hope the essay is alright.

Actually I had blogged on Fri but my computer gave me probs again and everything was gone. Haha old ailment is back.

Okie...going for class now already.
